Since 1980, APH has helped UK air travellers start their journeys with airport parking, hotels, lounges and travel extras at every major UK airport. Over four decades on, we're proud to remain family owned and the UK's leading independent airport parking company, now operating more than 6,000 spaces and looking after over 400,000 customers' cars every year.

Off-airport parking is typically 10–15% cheaper than parking on-airport. Just as park and ride takes the stress out of busy town centres, ours lets you avoid the congestion and confusing signage around the terminal, and keep more of your money for the holiday.

We're an operator first. At Gatwick, Manchester and Cardiff we run our own Park & Ride car parks, where our teams keep your vehicle secure while you travel and have you on the transfer bus and off to the terminal in minutes. And if you'd rather skip the transfer altogether, we offer Meet & Greet at airports up and down the country — a driver meets you right at the terminal, takes the keys, and parks it for you, so you step out of the car and straight into the airport.

But we don't stop at our own gates. We also sell parking at every major UK airport, often with the APH name above the door even where the site isn't ours to run. It means that wherever you fly from, you get the same trusted brand, the same easy booking, and the same standards you'd expect from a company that's been doing this for over forty years.

We also recognise that travel day rarely starts at the airport. A good night's sleep close by can take the stress out of an early flight or a long drive, which is why we offer airport hotels — many with parking included — alongside lounges and extras that turn a stressful morning into a calm one. Everything you need for the start of your trip, in one place.

Our Story

  1. 1980: APH (APG at the time) was founded as a family-run business near Gatwick Airport. Its official incorporation followed in January 1981. It was started by the Voller family and focused on off-airport parking for Gatwick air passengers.

  2. 1984: APG expands its reach beyond Gatwick by establishing a trading partnership with another off-airport operator serving Manchester Airport. APG similarly expanded its UK reach with other partnerships so that it could offer customers the choice of parking across the country.

  3. 1996: APG started to trade as APH, Airport Parking & Hotels, as it began packaging overnight stays at hotels near airports along with long stay parking.

  4. 2001: The Manchester partner was acquired and became APH Manchester.

  5. 2002: APH extends operations to Birmingham Airport, further expanding the company's geographic footprint into the Midlands.

  6. 2010: APH earns major industry recognition, winning the "Best Airport Parking Company" award at the British Travel Awards for the first time. This would start an unbroken streak of wins every year from 2010 through 2025, cementing APH's reputation for excellence.

  7. 2018: After nearly four decades at its original Gatwick site (Snow Hill, near Crawley), APH opens a new state-of-the-art parking facility on Copthorne Road serving Gatwick Airport. The move in November 2018 improved transfer times and modernised the Gatwick operations, underscoring the company's long-term commitment to Gatwick as its flagship location.

  8. 2024: APH purchases Highwayman Security Park at Cardiff Airport – its first owned location in Wales. This acquisition in October 2024 brought an existing family-run car park under APH's umbrella, expanding APH's network and adding Cardiff to the list of airports where it operates its own facility.

  9. 2026: APH is named Which? Recommended Provider for Airport Parking for the third consecutive year.
