Directions

Finding your way to APH Cardiff Park and Ride is straightforward, with clear routes from the M4 and a convenient location close to the airport. The car park sits beside the Highway Inn, making it easy to spot as you approach.

  1. Leave the M4 at Junction 33 and follow signs for Cardiff Airport.
  2. Join the A4232, signposted for Cardiff Airport.
  3. Continue on the A4232 and take the slip road marked ‘Airport’.
  4. At the roundabout, take the third exit.
  5. Follow signs for the airport across the next five roundabouts.
  6. At the fifth roundabout, take the right fork towards St Athan and Llantwit Major.
  7. Take the next left after the British Airways hangar.
  8. Keep right through the village of Fonmon.
  9. At the crossroads, turn left and continue towards the Highwayman car park.

The car park is located next to the Highway Inn and is just a short transfer from Cardiff Airport terminals.

Arrival instructions

This trusted service is easy to use:

  1. Drive into the car park and park in one of the arrival bays.
  2. Go to reception and present your booking confirmation.
  3. Hand over your keys and take a transfer to the terminal.
  4. Your car will be parked for you.

Please ensure you allow sufficient time to complete your vehicle check-in and airport transfer.

Return instructions

On return to Cardiff Airport:

  1. Head to the transfer bus stop for collection.
  2. Your keys will be returned to you, the bus will then take you back to your car.
  3. Exit the car park and enjoy the rest of your journey.

The car park is equipped with floodlighting during the night, as well as CCTV to monitor all activity. In addition, uniformed staff are present on-site and carry out regular patrols to ensure the area remains safe and secure.

Disabled facilities

APH Cardiff Park & Ride (formerly Highwayman) is designed to accommodate travellers with mobility needs. The car park features three dedicated disabled bays, available without the need to pre-book, providing extra space for ease and comfort.

Foldable wheelchairs are welcome on the shuttle buses, ensuring a smooth and convenient transfer to and from the terminal. Helpful staff are always on hand to assist with luggage, provide information, and offer support whenever required.

A convenient transfer service runs to and from Cardiff Airport, taking just five minutes thanks to APH Cardiff’s handy location. Transfers are free of charge and operate every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, ensuring you’re never left waiting with your luggage.

    2. Parking Period:
      • Your parking period starts at the pre-booked arrival time you select during your reservation.
    3. Important to Note:
      • If you don’t cancel or update your booking before your arrival time, we’ll need to charge you for the full booking. Also, please be aware that we can’t offer refunds if you return earlier than planned.
    4. Booking Adjustments:
      • If you make changes to your booking and the price changes, we’ll either charge or refund the difference based on the adjustments.
